Me:
My name is Georgina Cannon Brainerd. I am a twenty-something-year-old student originally from the UK, living mostly in New York City, and interested in books and arts and histories. I like things that are beautiful. I like train rides and Old Master paintings and negronis. I like coffee, broth and other people’s cats. I like rituals and I like learning. I would like to do interesting things in life.

Like everyone else my age, I have not been afforded the luxury of a competitive summer 2024 internship. I have, instead, been afforded with some funding to do academic research, some duties I need to fulfil in NYC, and a lease to enjoy the summer as much as I can. I have a lot of interesting things planned and not planned ahead of me this summer (nominally time in Bologna, England, and Brooklyn). I have decided to write about these moments in an attempt not to go crazy and because I want to take myself more seriously as someone who writes and is not too embarrassed about it. I hope someone enjoys.
